IGUAÇU FALLS

 

 
Located at the boarder of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, the falls are an unique spectacle that attracts tourists from all over the world. The Itaipu Dam nearby is the largest electric plant in the world. The Iguaçu Falls are made of over 275 different waterways that upon joining, crash 80 meters into the chasm below. On the Brazilian side, the falls are part of a 425.000 acre National Park in which the Hotel das Cataratas is located. Craft lovers can choose among a large selection of woolen and leather goods.

> TOUR TO THE FALLS ON THE BRAZILIAN SIDE
Daily at 9:00 A.M. and at 14:00 P.M. Approximate duration: 2 1/2 hours.

Walking tour through path footbridges and belvederes. The bottom of the falls can also be reached by a panoramic elevator. For those staying in hotels other than the Cataratas, this tour includes transfers to and from the falls.

> DAILY TOUR TO THE BRAZILIAN FALLS
Daily at 7:30 A.M. Approximate duration: 2 1/2 hours.

A side trip from Rio de Janeiro. It includes round trip transfers in Iguaçu and Rio de Janeiro, an escorted walking full day tour of the Brazilian side of the falls and lunch.

> CABEÇA DE BOI RANCH
Upon request. Approximate duration: 7 hours. (Lunch included)

A ranch with animals, in the middle of woods, not far from the city. Access is by a dirt road 8 Km long. The facilities are adequate for groups from 45 to 200 persons, who would like to take part of a different program.

> ITAIPU POWER PLANT
Daily at 9:15 A.M. and at 15:15 P.M. Approximate duration: 3 hours.

The largest hydroelectric power plant in the world. Includes technical explanations, documentary movie on the construction and ride through the bi-national area and the site of the power plant. On the return trip, the bus rides along the Itaipu lake and the Village of Itaipu.

> MACUCO BOAT SAFARI
Daily at 9:00 A.M and at at 14:00 P.M.. Approximate duration: 3 hours.

Transfer in vehicle to the Iguaçu National Park, to board jeeps (for 3Km) and a 600m walk to the Falls. In safe open boats, cruise up the Iguaçu River, being able to get close to the Falls.

> ARGENTINA FALLS TOUR
Daily at 9:00 A.M. and at 14:00 P.M. Approximate duration: 3 1/2 hours.
